Onlook is an open-source visual editor designed for live editing and creating React applications on an infinite canvas. Initially an Electron app, it has been rewritten for the browser to reduce friction and improve user experience.

This AI-powered tool allows users to prompt, style, and directly manipulate elements, similar to a design tool. Key features include selecting elements for AI-driven changes, updating TailwindCSS classes, drawing new elements, multi-screen preview, and an in-browser IDE.

Onlook aims to simplify the creation, styling, and editing of codebases, with future plans to support backend functionalities like authentication and databases. It connects to a remote sandbox for visual editing, mapping HTML elements to code for instant changes.
