Air Lab is a standalone air quality measuring device that monitors CO2, temperature, relative humidity, air pollutants (VOC, NOx), and atmospheric pressure. A key feature is its ability to log and analyze data directly on the device, eliminating the need for a smartphone or laptop.
To showcase its capabilities, a web-based simulator has been developed, running the device's stock firmware. The firmware for Air Lab will be open-source and available upon the first batch shipment.
The project is currently finishing its crowdfunding campaign on CrowdSupply, aiming to provide a more open and accessible approach to air quality monitoring. It emphasizes ease of customization and extension, with detailed documentation and tools planned. The device is built around an ESP32S3 microcontroller and integrates various precise sensors for comprehensive environmental data.
