The system utilizes 24 specialized AI agents to analyze various aspects of scientific papers, including methodology, scientific rigor, and writing quality. Users receive detailed feedback with actionable recommendations and a PDF report.

It can be used via a free cloud version (during testing) where manuscripts are uploaded for a report within 1-2 working days, or a self-hosted, open-source version on GitHub. The self-hosted option allows full control, customization of agents, and use of personal OpenAI API keys. Rigorous is particularly useful for pre-submission manuscript refinement.
